Keith Vaz has been Bame Labours member on the NEC since 2007. He has been Vice Chair of The Equality Committee since 2012. He is the MP for Leicester East and has served as a Minister and the Chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee. He studied at Cambridge University. He was one of the “Gang of Four” the first BAME MPs for 55 years when they were elected in 1987. He is the author of a number of books and Edits the E-Newsletter “Root”.
