Bridget Galloway is currently a member of the BAME Labour Executive Committee for 2017-2019.
She is a well established employee and supporter of local government for over 10 years. She has also been a supporter of the Labour Party since her arrival in the United Kingdom in 2001. She became an active supporter by joining BAME Labour in 2016 and then joining the Labour Party.
She is a member of the Croydon North Constituency Labour Party (CNCLP) and currently works in the position of branch Disability Equalities Officer. She is also a part of the very active Croydon North Ethnic Communities Forum, which successfully worked with their Member of Parliament, Steve Reid to finally get Seni’s Law passed in Parliament, giving this country the best Mental Health protection, which mainly affected the BAME community
She has also been a member of Unison for about 10 years. She is currently an active member of Southwark Local Government Branch, serving as branch Learning Representative, Shop steward, Department Health and Safety Representative and a member of the Self-Organised Black Members Group.
As a member of the BAME Labour National Executive Committee, she works with colleagues to increase BAME membership in the party and ensure that BAME members within the Labour Party are empowered to participate in the party and become more involved in public life.
